In Switzerland there are 3 major players in the mobile telecoms market, Swisscom, by far the largest with the best coverage, even in the Alps. Orange a close second and Sunrise.
With the announcement of the iPad due for release on the 28th of May, both Swisscom and Orange have announced their Pay As You Go tarrifs. Stranglely the Swiss online Apple store only lists Orange as an option but go to Swisscom's website and you can find all the relevant details there.
Both are offering very similar solutions with 100MB, 300MB and 2GB options. The charge for the SIM is just CHF5.00.
Sunrise has no information at all on their website regarding the iPad but since they also do not sell the iPhone it is hardly surprising. They also are the one one out of the 3 to not provide their website in English.
This is Swissom's offering:
and here is Orange's tarrifs
I already use a Mifi with an unlimited data tarrif with Swisscom.
